nocuous \NOK-yoo-uhs\, adjective:
very hurtful; noxious
I use the word innocuous so often and I never knew there was a word "nocuous." I think it's awkward to say. Innocuous rolls off the tongue.
I could make a list of nocuous things. Or what I consider nocuous.
Cell phone conversations in just about any store that is normally quiet.
A room full of sweaty 14 year old boys.
A baby's diaper long after you've potty-trained your kids.
Here are some innocuous things.
The barest hint of fragrance.
Aluminum siding.
Guess it's easier to think of negative things.
Can you add to my lists?
